Novartis’ revenue
Novartis AG, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies worldwide, generated total revenues of about 45.5 billion U.S. dollars in 2023, which is a decrease of around five billion compared to the year prior. The company, which is based in Switzerland, made the largest single share of its revenues in the United States (some 18 billion U.S. dollars). Roughly 15 billion U.S. dollars were generated in Europe.
Global net income rankings
Johnson & Johnson from the United States was the world's second ranked biotech and pharmaceutical company based on net income, as of 2023. The company’s profits amounted to nearly 18 billion U.S. dollars. Novartis stood in eighth place that year with a net income of about nine billion U.S. dollars.
